The post cards on this page, are grouped by location. Whenever the card has a postmark, I will put that date in the caption. Every post card listed on this website has the two-word POST CARD printed on the back side. Since these are vintage cards, I used the vintage designation post card, instead of the modern terminology postcard. Meadville, Pa. post cards are on the Meadville Post Card Page , and Saegertown, Pa. post cards are on the Saegertown Post Card Page .

October 21, 1909, Cambridge Springs experienced a damaging windstorm that only lasted a very short time. The three post cards immediately above, show three different views of the damage. One post card, calls it a tornado, and two post cards, refer to it as a hurricane. Hurricanes are tropical storms, so I tried to research the event to see what information I could find. One reference book refers to it as a cyclone, and online information, mentions both cyclone and tornado. From the localized damage shown, it looks like what happens when a tornado touches down. The next six post cards show the same event, and they were all published by The Loos Music Co., Cambridge Springs, Pa.
